Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are football players as well as the best players in the world. Both of them are quite similar in some areas. Messi plays in Barcelona which is the best club in Spain and in the world. Similarly, Ronaldo also shows his skills in Real Madrid club in Spain. In addition, Ronaldo and Messi are talented players who were always nominated for Ballon d’Or as the world’s best player for the last four years.
The two players are young and potential.

On the other hand, both of players are absolutely different in many ways. First, the technique for playing football is strikingly different.  Ronaldo has a speed for dribbling ball like dancing in the field, so sometimes he scares defender opponent by his foot speed. Whereas, Lionel Messi has different ways to perform his technical skills in playing football. Messi is more natural for dribbling ball; he arranges tempo of game by dribbling slowly and kicks ball accurately.

Another difference is the physical shapes. Ronaldo has a proportional posture to be a football player. Moreover, he is taller than Messi, so Ronaldo can make a goal with his head easily. In contrast, Messi has a small posture, but most people know that he is really agile when playing the ball in the field.

The last difference is personality. The characteristics of Ronaldo are emotional, arrogant and individualistic. Therefore, some of goals Ronaldo produced are by individual skills. Meanwhile, Messi is calm, modest, and friendly. Because of that, he always gives priority to make goal with team work.

In conclusion, the two players have strengths and weaknesses in order to be the best player in the world. They also give many contributions to their club and country to win competition, so that Messi and Ronaldo are suitable to get the title of the world’s best player, although in the end Lionel Messi has been awarded the Ballon d’Or for the fourth year this year.
